The Byrd Institute currently supports the following grant types:
Affiliate Research Grants
In this program, small pilot grants are awarded to researchers across Florida who are affiliated with the Byrd Institute through collaboration activities. The purpose of these grants is to provide "seed" money for pilot projects. The results of these projects are expected to serve as a springboard to empower the researcher to apply for federal funding of larger projects.

Service (Community) Grants
This program provides grant awards for community-based research. The purpose of these awards is to facilitate better service delivery for those with memory disorders and their families in the community. Studies of caregiver issues, diagnostic practices, and access to care are examples of the type of research funded by this program.
