The Byrd Institute partners with other researchers as individuals as representatives of universities, research centers, and clinical care sites. The Byrd Institute is committed to supporting and enhancing collaboration around the state.

Affiliate Research Grants

In its first four years, the Byrd Institute was able to implement the “Affiliate Grants” program to provide small pilot grants are awarded to researchers across Florida who affiliated with the Byrd Institute. These grants provided "seed" money to that would serve as a springboard for the researcher to build the kind of data and success to be competitive when seeking federal funding .

Service (Community) Grants

This program has provided grant awards for community-based, applied, research. Studies of caregiver issues, diagnostic practices, and access to care are examples of the type of research funded by this program.

These grant programs are contingent upon the availability of funding.
