Byrd Institute clinical research investigators include neurologists, geriatric psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, licensed clinical social workers, and psychologists. Our research coordinators have backgrounds in nursing, pharmacy, psychology, medical research and university research. Investigators and coordinators undergo continuous training and education to ensure the highest standards of clinical research. Our researchers have many years of clinical research experience as well as experience with investigator initiated trials. As a research institute, our investigators often collaborate with other researchers and clinicians, offering a wide range of services and enabling our site to successfully engage in bio-repository, neuro-imaging, data capture and other more technical studies.
