Seminar Prepares Caregivers To Face Financial Obstacles
09.26.07
TAMPA – Byrd Alzheimer’s Research Institute teams up with Hillsborough County Department of Aging Services to present Financial Preparedness Seminar for Caregivers on Saturday, October 6 from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. This free seminar will cover topics such as legal advice, money management, and financial planning.
Caregivers need to evaluate the long-term care needs of their loved one. In making this evaluation, it is important to consider financial options. Long-term financial planning is important for everyone, but it is crucial when you are coping with the expense of chronic illnesses such as Alzheimer's disease or dementia.
“An integral part of our mission at the Byrd Institute is improving the whole well being of people with Alzheimer's and their caregivers,” says Melanie Meyer, Byrd Institute Chief of External Affairs. “This financial seminar will arm caregivers with the tools they need to tackle the monetary implications inherent in this illness. We hope the information will help people face the selfless task of caregiving with even more confidence and security.”
Representative speakers include CitiSmithBarney, Lasman Law Firm, and Bayshore Geriatric Solutions, Inc.
